We're from the one city that never stopped making fragrance.

Long before anyone sold a room spray with a brand name on it, Lucknow was already doing this work — in the lanes of Chowk, where attar-makers have sat behind rows of small glass vials for two centuries, matching a scent to a moment the way a tailor matches cloth to an occasion. The Nawabs of Awadh treated fragrance as a mark of hospitality, not decoration. A room was scented the way it was swept — because leaving it unscented would have been a discourtesy, to your home and to whoever walked into it.

That trade never closed. Chowk's attar lanes are still working lanes, not something preserved behind glass for tourists. The vocabulary built there — gulab, khus, kewra, hina, oudh — is the same vocabulary fragrance houses use today, including ours. We didn't borrow this story from somewhere else and attach it to a bottle. We're from here.
